Johns is the primary coach of Brooke Castile and Ben Okolski, the defending American pairs champions who scored the biggest upset of last year's nationals when they came from behind and dethroned 2006 Olympians and two-time U.S. gold medalists Rena Inoue and John Baldwin.
It was a huge step forward for the Canton duo: Castile and Okolski finished eighth at the 2006 U.S. championships.
