America's Best Dance Crew- The Tour!

Randy Jackson is getting the crew together this fall.

The dawggone musician has announced plans for the inaugural America's Best Dance Crew Live, a 20-date tour to showcase the best the hit MTV show, now in its second season, has had to offer so far.

On the lineup so far are the masked men of season-one winner JabbaWockeeZ and the wheel-bound B-boys of BreakSk8. Three remaining spots on the tour will soon be filled by crews from seasons past and present.

"We took dance crews from across the country and put them on TV for the first time, and now we are taking our show on the road," Jackson, who executive produces the Mario Lopez-hosted series, said. "We're looking forward to seeing all of our fans across the U.S. who have helped make this show MTV¹s big hit.

"It’s going to be a party, and it’s going to be blazing hot."

Sasha Cohen Brings Style To The Ice

Ice-skating costumes, like the stars who wear them, are glamorous but tough, says U.S. Olympic silver medalist Sasha Cohen, who will perform with a cast of Olympic, world and national champions in Smucker's "Stars On Ice Live and In Color" at Orlando's Amway Arena on Friday.

During a recent phone interview, Cohen, 23, answered questions about designing her own costumes and her 2006 appearance on Bravo's Project Runway.

Question: How many different costumes do you wear in "Stars on Ice," and do you have a favorite?

Answer: Seven. For the opening number, my dress is covered in 10,000 red crystals. I designed the dresses for my two solos. They are so different. I designed the one to look like a black diamond bra with a slip dress over it. It turned out wonderfully. The other is shades of turquoise to blue to purple to pink, all beaded and hand-dyed. I wanted it to feel like someone's imagination -- full of colors and brightness.

Stars' Come To Philly

Helio Castroneves and Julianne Hough are getting back together.
The winning couple from Season 5 of Dancing With the Stars will perform Sunday night at the Wachovia Center, the last stop on "Dancing With the Stars - The Tour."

But no, they're not getting together in that way, Castroneves says, with a smile in his voice. "She definitely was a very strong teacher and a very good one, too. And the only romance we had was on the dance floor."

The duo will be performing dances that TV audiences will recognize: the cha-cha to "Love Rollercoaster" from the semifinal episode and the quickstep to "Hey Pachuco" from the finals.

"No question, that's the most recognized [dance], with the yellow suit," the IndyCar driver says of the quickstep. "Plus the kiss at the end of the dance."

Dancing With the Stars has had an enormous impact on ballroom, says professional dancer Cheryl Burke, a two-time winner. "Ballroom dancing has been around so many years. It hadn't really been recognized by the public eye, but there's a whole competitive world. People really stereotyped it as being for old people."

But now, her friends who own dance studios report that registration for classes is way up, says Burke, who started ballet at 4 and switched to ballroom at 11, after her parents took classes for fun and decided to sign her up, too.

Helio And Julianne Reunite To Tour

Hough is glowing with excitement about the next stage in what has become a rocket ship of a career. She hopes to compete again on Dancing's sixth season, then spend next summer touring as an opening act singer. "I'll always do this," she says, gesturing toward the dance floor. "Dancing will always be a passion. But I'm ready to move on to the next chapter of my life. I've been dancing since I was 10 years old. But I always wanted to sing. I actually moved to L.A. to become a singer. If I would've shown up in Nashville without the exposure of this show, it would've taken me three years just to get started. I owe everything to Dancing with the Stars."

Former Skating Tour Rivals Likely To Merge

As creator of the Champions On Ice tour, Tom Collins remains bullish on figure skating. But the Twin Cities promoter confirmed Monday that the Champions tour is likely to combine with rival tour Stars On Ice.

Skating's once-soaring TV ratings have declined in recent years, as has attendance at events. Given the current state of the sport, Collins said, one tour makes more sense. The longtime skating promoter, who started as a performer and has spent more than 50 years in the sport, was at Xcel Energy Center on Monday for the U.S. Figure Skating Championships.
